The Colorado Provençal is a former industrial site, operated from the late seventeenth century until 1992, when the last ocrier retired. The site is located in the town of Rustrel in the department of Vaucluse and the region Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. The unusual landscapes it presents are made of ochreous sand of lateritic origin.
