Tourist Season in Guyana
The best time to visit Guyana includes the dry season months from mid-January to April and from mid-August to mid-November. We can count on a large number of warm and sunny days, although rains are not avoided, but they are less frequent and less intense. The coasts guarantee favorable weather for beach lovers, good conditions also prevail in lowland and mountainous areas. Mountain trekking and sightseeing can be organized without worrying about the aura.
When traveling to Guyana during the off-season, the rainy season from May to mid-August and from mid-November to mid-January, one must take into account the difficulties caused by increased rainfall. There may be traffic problems, and some areas may be inaccessible to tourists due to local flooding and closed mountain trails.

Warm and sunny days encourage visits to all regions of the country. There may be some fleeting precipitation, but it does not significantly impede travel. This is a very good time for city sightseeing, mountain trekking and exploring lowland areas. Beach and water sports enthusiasts occupy the coasts en masse.
On February 23, you can take part in Guyana's Republic Day "Mashramani" celebrations, enjoying local dances, colorful costumes and street parades.
