Facts and practical information
The Roman Catholic parish church of Feldebrő, in its original form, and its unique architectural design, combining the cultures of Western and Eastern Christianity, with the oldest frescoes in Hungary, consisting of 54 unique figures, is one of the most outstanding monuments of early 11th century architecture in Hungary. Located in the centre of the village, it was built as a burial church for the Aba clan, who settled in the southern part of the Mátra.
