When Is the Best Time To Visit Iran?
The answer to the question of what is the best month to visit Iran depends on what you are interested in doing during your stay. Here you can see an overview of each month and its typical weather conditions.
Climate of Iran
Iran is under the influence of an eminently continental climate, characterized by a large temperature difference between summer and winter.
Summers are dry and hot, with temperatures rising to around 35°C - 40°C. Winters, on the other hand, are wet and cold, with temperatures ranging from 10°C to as low as -20°C in the higher parts of the mountains. Two climate zones can be distinguished in the country: subtropical, which covers the largest part of the national territory, and tropical, which covers the south of the country, the Persian Gulf coast and the Arabian Sea.
Iran is one of the very dry countries, rainfall is low (50 mm to 100 mm annually), and in some places, such as the Great Salt Desert, it occurs once every few years. In mountainous areas, especially high parts of the Iranian Highlands, humidity and rainfall levels increase significantly. These regions experience snowfall during the winter, allowing the winter tourist season to develop (good facilities for skiing).
