When Is the Best Time To Visit Ireland?
The answer to the question of what is the best month to visit Ireland depends on what you are interested in doing during your stay. Here you can see an overview of each month and its typical weather conditions.
Tourist Season in Ireland
Ireland is best visited during the summer, from June to August. These months include the peak tourist season on the island. Admittedly, there may be some fleeting rainfall during this time, but it is not as frequent or intense. Warm days with plenty of sunshine encourage sightseeing and hiking.
Spring (April-May) and autumn (September-October) are also good times to visit Ireland. The weather is not ideal, still warm, but more foggy and rainy than in the summer months.
When visiting Ireland in the winter months, from November to March, one should take into account the drop in temperatures and increased precipitation, which greatly reduce the comfort of the visit.

Numerous festivals and concerts are held during this time, and almost all pubs and restaurants are open much longer. In summer, too, all tourist attractions like castles and museums (which may be closed in other months) are open to the public.
