National Museum of Ethnology
The National Museum of Ethnology is one of the major museums in Japan. It is Japan's largest research institute in the academic disciplines of humanities and social sciences, which was established in 1974 and opened to the public in 1977. It is built on the former grounds of Expo '70 in Suita, Osaka.
Itsuō Art Museum
Itsuō Art Museum opened in Ikeda, Osaka Prefecture, Japan, in 1957. The new building opened in 1997. The collection, built up by founder Kobayashi Ichizō, whose pseudonym was Itsuō, comprises some 5,500 works, including fifteen Important Cultural Properties and twenty Important Art Objects.
