Ogi Park is an urban park located in Ogi Town, Ogi City, Saga Prefecture. It is sometimes referred to as Sakuragaoka Park, its predecessor. The park has a garden called "Jirakuen" with a borrowed view of Sakuragaoka, a small hill in the park, and approximately 3,000 cherry trees blooming in the surrounding area. There are also two shrines, Okayama Shrine and Karasumori Inari Shrine, an ancient burial mound at the top of the hill, and a sports field as a city park. The park has been selected as one of the 100 best cherry blossom viewing spots in Japan and one of the 100 best historical parks in Japan. Fireflies can first be seen flitting about as they migrate to the upper reaches of the Gion River in Ogi in early summer.
