Kawahara Castle is a Japanese castle that once existed in Taniwagi, Kawahara-cho, Tottori City, Tottori Prefecture. The official name of this castle is "Maruyama Castle," but there are three castle ruins named Maruyama Castle in Tottori City, including this castle, and two in the former Oumi County, including this castle. Kawahara Castle is the name given to the castle after the construction of the keep-like structure described below, but to avoid confusion with the other two castles, it is referred to here as Kawahara Castle.
