The Kawasaki Loam Slope Collapse Experiment Accident occurred on November 11, 1971, during a slope collapse experiment at Ikuta Ryokuchi Park in Kawasaki City. Fifteen people, including research workers and members of the press, were buried alive and died as a result of the accident. A memorial stands beside the entrance to the Taro Okamoto Museum of Art in Ikuta Ryokuchi.
