The Akaishi Mountains are a mountain range in central Honshū, Japan, bordering Nagano, Yamanashi and Shizuoka prefectures. It is also called the Southern Alps, as it joins with the Hida Mountains and the Kiso Mountains to form the Japanese Alps. ()
