Shoko Shuseikan is a museum located in Yoshino-cho, Kagoshima, Japan. It was opened on May 22, 1923 as part of the Shuseikan project initiated by Shimazu Nariakira, the 28th head of the Satsuma clan. Currently operated by Shimadzu Kogyo, the museum exhibits historical documents related to the Shimadzu family, Satsuma faceted glass, Satsuma porcelain, and other items. The main building was built in 1865 and is a National Important Cultural Property. It is adjacent to Senganen Garden. It was the first Western-style stone building in Japan to use arches.
In 2015, it was registered as a World Heritage site as the machine shop of the "Old Shuseikan", which constitutes the "Industrial Revolutionary Heritage of Meiji Japan: Iron and Steel Making, Shipbuilding, and Coal Industry".
