Kenganbō is one of the eight peaks on the summit of Mt. Fuji, and is the highest peak on Mt. Fuji at 3,776 m.
Fuji Kenganbō, the highest peak in Japan," and during busy seasons, visitors may have to wait for their turn to have their picture taken at this spot. From this Tsurugamine to the west, Osawakuregake is formed, and downstream it becomes the Juni River, which flows into Suruga Bay.
Fuji Special Area Weather Observatory is located near Tsurugamine, and a monument with a haiku by Yamaguchi Oshiko, "Standing on the cliff Fuji's wall to the lower boundary" is also placed.
