Climate of Lebanon
Lebanon lies in the subtropical-Mediterranean climate zone. Summer lasts from June to early September, is dry and hot, with temperatures reaching 40°C. In contrast, winter (December-February) is mild and humid. Most precipitation is recorded between October and April.
The coast and lowland areas have a more temperate climate, with average temperatures of 28°C in summer and around 13°C in winter. The further inland the country, the lower the temperatures. Especially in the mountainous areas during the winter, it is cold and there is very heavy snowfall.
