The monument of Stephen the Great and Saint in Balti, unveiled on 22 May 2004, is located on Independence Square in front of the City Hall building. The authors of the monument are the sculptor Gheorghe Postovanu and the architect Vasile Eremciuc. The monument is made of bronze and the post is made of Cosăuți stone. In 2008 the monument of Stephen the Great and Holy was included in the Register of state protected monuments.
