When Is the Best Time To Visit Morocco?
The answer to the question of what is the best month to visit Morocco depends on what you are interested in doing during your stay. Here you can see an overview of each month and its typical weather conditions.
Tourist Season in Morocco
Morocco can be visited all year round, but it is worth taking into account the specifics of each region. Wanting to see most areas, the trip is best organized in spring (from March to May) or autumn (from September to October). The weather is then sunny, warm and relatively rain-free throughout the country.
In summer (from June to August) there are hot days reaching 40°C or more. These make visiting difficult, especially in the central and southern regions. At that time, it is best to rest on the coasts of the Mediterranean Sea, the Atlantic Ocean (including Agadir) and the north, as temperatures there are not as high. In mountainous areas at this time, the weather is also favorable and conducive to trekking and climbing in higher elevations.
In winter (November to February), the whole country is cold and rainy. It is then worth visiting the southern regions, which are warmest during this period. The ski season in the Atlas Mountains is underway, so this is the ideal time for winter sports enthusiasts.

The spring months are both the best time to visit Morocco. Air and water temperatures rise, but there is no heat, making it more comfortable for sightseeing and trekking arrangements. There may be some fleeting rainfall, but it is not frequent or intense enough to complicate a visit. The lush vegetation in bloom at this time adds to the beauty of the landscapes and makes the trip even more enjoyable.
Beginning in May, the beach season begins on the coasts.

The months are hot and dry, with temperatures reaching 40°C in the central and southern regions. The hot weather basically makes sightseeing and longer walks impossible. The best conditions are on the coasts and northern areas, where the waves of hot air suffer less, with temperatures ranging from 23°C to 28°C. Plenty of sunshine and cloudless skies guarantee an excellent holiday, especially for beach and sea bathing enthusiasts. On the Atlantic coast, frequent morning fogs are characteristic, but they do not last long. The summer months are also a very good time to organize trekking and climbing in the higher parts of the mountains.
