Het Twiske - a Dutch recreation park located near the northern borders of Amsterdam.

There is a lake in the park with numerous islands resulting from long -term sand and peat. Various forms of active recreation are available here, not only related to water, such as fishing, sailing, swimming or diving, but also bicycle sports or observation of birds. However, the use of motor boats is banned due to nature protection. There is also a sailing school with water sports rental.

Among the local meadows, apart from local, sometimes rarer species, you can also find grazing Shetland ponies and Scottish cattle.
