The Palace of Culture is a neoclassical style building located in Managua, capital of Nicaragua, in front of the south side of the Plaza de la República or Plaza de la Revolución. It has basements and 3 floors. Its original name was the National Palace. Until 1979 it housed the National Congress, composed of the chambers of the Senate and Deputies, the Court of Accounts, the National Archives, the General Directorate of Revenue and the Ministries of the Interior and Finance and Public Credit. Until 1996 it was the seat of the CGR and the DGI.
