Facts and practical information
The Seamen's Monument is a monument to the Torgallmenningen in Bergen, designed by the artist expensive VAA in the years 1939-45 and unveiled in 1950. The monument consists of twelve male figures and reliefs in two heights, cast in bronze, mounted on a large square in granite. The monument was financed with funds raised, and has since been supplemented with a water surface at the foot of the shelf.
