The summer months bring heat waves and increased rainfall. Temperatures reach 40°C, cloud cover increases, and rains come in the form of brief but intense downpours.
February marks the celebration of the patron saint of Paraguay, Saint Blaise (Fiesta de San Blas), with local dances, music and colorful parades. In the same month, the colorful festival "Nirgen de la Candelaria" is also an attraction for tourists, where they can enjoy street processions and markets full of local handicrafts and art.

The coldest months of the year. The average temperature fluctuates between 15°C and 20°C, although it can drop as low as 10°C. A good time to visit the hottest region of Chaco.
In June the "Festival de San Juan" is celebrated, the fun continues throughout the country, especially in Asuncion. One can admire the rituals of walking over glowing coals and the symbolic burning of the Judas Iscariot puppet.
In July, on the other hand, the "Festival del Nanduti" is organized, where one can participate in traditional fairs full of traditional crafts, food and music.
