Trujillo Marinera Festival

The Trujillo Marinera Festival is a vibrant cultural event held each January in Trujillo, Peru. Celebrating the traditional marinera dance—an iconic symbol of the city and the nation—the festival centers around a thrilling dance competition, but offers so much more.

Both the marinera dance and these magnificent horses are integral to Peru's cultural heritage. Accordingly, Trujillo has been designated the National Capital of Marinera by the Peruvian government.
