Food and beverage prices in the Philippines
Popular food products found on store shelves in the Philippines include bananas, rice, bread, onions, eggs, tomatoes, cheese, beef and potatoes, among others. Prices for a kilo of these products range from 172 PHP (10.54 PLN) for a kilo of onions to 471 PHP (28.81 PLN) for a kilo of beef. The price of white rice is 58.76 PHP (3.59 PLN) per kilo, while a loaf of fresh white bread costs 74.65 PHP (4.57 PLN) per half kilo. Bananas cost 100 PHP (6.13 PLN) per kilo, while apples cost 192 PHP (11.74 PLN) per kilo.
Water, available in 1.5-liter bottles, costs 36.62 PHP (2.24 PLN). Dairy prices in the Philippines, on the other hand, are as follows: 1 liter of milk costs about 110 PHP (6.72 PLN), and 1 kilogram of locally produced cheese is an expense of 498 PHP (30.46 PLN).
