Ratusz Litworowy, Tatra National Park
Facts and practical information
Litworowy Ratusz - a crag terminating the Litworowy Ridge on the western side in the Polish West Tatra Mountains. This ridge separates the Litworowy Valley from Kobylarzowy Żleb. The Litvor ridge is built, like the whole region, of dolomite-limestone rocks. It rises up to the height of 1670 m and descends to the glacial basin of Ve¾ká Svi¾ovka from the west. The wall of the Litvov Town Hall thus rises above the bottom of the Ve¾ká Svi¾ovka about 300 m. It contains several caves, including the Chimney in the Town Hall, the Twin Chimney and the Gap in the Mietusim Town Hall. In the south-west direction the wall turns into Litworowy Próg, from which it is separated by a chimney-like gully. This couloir is the easiest passage in the whole joint wall of Litvorowy Prog, Mts. Difficulty level III, IV in places. The first time Danuta Mischke and Maciej Mischke climbed this route was on April 27, 1953.
Directly on the eastern side of Litvore's Town Hall there is a switchback Litvore's Pass. There is an easy passage connecting the Litvory Valley with Kobylarzovy žleb. There are climbing routes in the walls of the Litvorov Town Hall.
