Parish of Lord's Transfiguration in Katowice - a Roman Catholic parish belonging to the deanery of Katowice-Śródmieście. The parish church was built between 1974-1977. The parish includes a cemetery on Gliwicka Street in Katowice, established in 1860.

Until August 26, 2012 the parish was served by diocesan priests of the Katowice Archdiocese. Since then, the pastoral work has been conducted by the Dominicans. The decision was made at the end of June 2012 by the Archbishop of Katowice Wiktor Skworc in agreement with the authorities of the Polish Province of the Order. Thus, on the territory of the parish there was created the nineteenth male Dominican monastery in Poland and the first in Upper Silesia.
