Facts and practical information

Franciscan Monastery in Pilica - a monastery of the Reformed Order, was founded in 1740; the founder of the site was Maria Józefa of Wessel Sobieska. The monastery officially began operating in 1745.

Mary Joseph Sobieska donated a 16th century copy of the icon of Our Lady of the Snows to the order, which is still held in great veneration today.
