Open-air museum in Wolin - a medieval open-air museum located on the island Wolińska Kępa within the administrative borders of the town of Wolin. It was opened on April 7, 2008 by Tomasz Wojtczak, president of the association Slavic and Viking Center "Wolin-Jomsborg-Wineta".
In 2008, 13 objects referring to the early medieval buildings of Wolin were presented. The buildings surround the defensive ramparts and part of the palisade with a gate and a tower. The hut of a minter, potter, fisherman, amber worker, and a medieval harbor are still planned. Periodically, the open-air museum holds demonstrations of ancient crafts and staging of medieval warrior fights.
Every year the open-air museum hosts the Slavs and Vikings Festival. Several films were shot in the open-air museum. Among others for Polish Television, History Channel.
There have been two fires at the open-air museum. In February 2011, one of the 25 huts was destroyed by fire. Once again, two huts burned down on April 24, 2014
