Monument to the Defenders of Gdynia 1939 - is located in the south of Gdynia's Kolibki housing estate, near the former border between the Free City of Gdańsk and the Second Republic of Poland, by the main thoroughfare of the Tricity.

The obelisk depicting an eagle with outstretched wings is dedicated to the soldiers of the 2nd Marine Rifle Regiment who fought heavy defensive battles in the positions around Kolibki. In the immediate vicinity of the monument is a terrace overlooking the Bay of Gdansk.
