Galgenberg - a hill in Wodzisław Śląski. Galgenberg is an execution hill located in Wodzisław at Kopernika Street. On this hill, from the end of the Middle Ages to the 18th century, executions were carried out by hanging, ruled by the prince's court. On the hill there are erratic boulders, which are arranged in the shape of a circle. During World War II, the Nazis wanted to make an avenue for distinguished Germans in this place. After the war the place was somewhat forgotten and neglected. Nowadays, there are efforts to restore it as a park or a viewpoint over the city.
