Statue of St. John in Katowice - a statue, most likely depicting St. John the Evangelist, located in Katowice's Śródmieście district, at the entrance of St. John Street to the Market Square.

Today's St. John Street takes its name from the statue.

The statue of St. John was erected in 1816 at the intersection of the then north-south and east-west roads, running through the middle of the village of Katowice. On 11 July 1816 it was consecrated by Rev. R. Lubecki. The statue was carved in sandstone.

In 1875 the statue was expanded and moved to a private property in Brynów. At that time St. John Street was being paved and the statue was moved under the pretext of obstructing the traffic. In Brynów it was placed on a private property of a farmer Mikolaj Maczuga. In 1916, on the centenary of its existence, the inhabitants of Brynów renovated the statue. An inscription on the base of the statue says: On the initiative of the Upper Silesian Association, a replica of the statue, made by Miros³aw and Jacek Kiciñski, was placed at the entrance of St. John Street to the Market Square in 1999.

Today, both statues exist - the replica on St. John Street and the original in Brynów, at 2 Dworska Street.
