Narożnik, Stołowe Mountains National Park
Facts and practical information
Corner - a peak in the Table Mountains, 849 m above sea level.
The corner lies south-east of the Lisia Przełęcz, separating it from the Skalniak massif. It is built of thrust sandstones, overgrown with spruce forest of the lower regla.
To the west and south the Corner descends with vertical walls, which makes it a popular place for climbing - there are more than 100 routes. The top is a view point on the Table Mountains, the Duszniki Depression, the Bystrzyckie Mountains and the Orlickie Mountains.
The blue tourist trail from Duszniki-Zdrój to Karłów leads through the peak. Two tourists, students of the Wroclaw University of Agriculture, were shot in 1997 at the trail leading through the Corner. A plaque on the summit and two crosses in the place of the crime commemorate the incident.
After the crime, the perpetrators headed towards Le¿yce, which was evidenced by the victims' backpacks abandoned about 2 km from the Corner.
