Local Government Museum of Strzyżów Land in Strzyżów - museum under organization, located in Strzyżów. The institution is a municipal organizational unit. Its opening took place on May 17, 2014, as part of the Night of Museums.
The institution was established by virtue of the resolution of the Town Council in Strzyżów dated 1st July 2011. It took over the collections which had been gathered since 1959 by the Strzyżów Land Lovers Society and which were first exhibited in the Memorial Chamber, located in the local high school, and since 1972 in the TMZS Regional Social Museum, located in Dydyński Manor, at 1a Modrzewiowa Street.
In 2014, the collections were moved to a three-storey tenement house at 10 Lukasiewicza Street, while its branches are located in the attic of the tenement house at 15 Rynek and in the Municipal Public Library. The holdings include exhibits connected with the history of Strzyżów as well as ethnography and material culture of the region.
The facility also provides access to a German railroad shelter, built in 1940-41 and part of the "Anlage Süd" complex.
