Isaac Bashevis Singer's bench in Biłgoraj - a monument unveiled on September 13, 2009 during the city's Singer Days. The monument is located in the park, near St. George Church.
The monument was designed by a Cracow sculptor Karol Badyna and initiated by the Biłgoraj Cultural Association named after Izaak Baszewis Singer. The cost of the project was covered from the donations of the citizens of Biłgoraj and from sponsors.
The monument presents the figure of the writer sitting on a sofa, the backrest of which bears an inscription dedicated to the writer. Isaac Bashevis Singer lived in Biłgoraj from 1917 to 1921. Biłgoraj was the hometown of his mother Baszewa, the daughter of the Biłgoraj rabbi. A monument has been erected to him to commemorate his 4-year stay in Bilgoraj.
