Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary - historic parish church, located in the center of Sobota.
Parish in the village was probably created in the 13th century. The original church was wooden. Currently, the existing church is a brick, single-nave, late Gothic was built by the local parish priest and cathedral canon, and also the owner of Sobota - Jan Sobocki in the years 1510-1517. Repair of the church was carried out in 1780, through the efforts of Ksawery Moraczewski, canon of Kalisz, because the building was then in danger of collapse. The next owner, Rev. Maksymilian Baraniecki, carried out the renovation in 1894. The altar with a marble mensa comes from 1906. During World War II the church was plundered by the Germans and turned into a warehouse. The last renovations were carried out in 1975-81 and 1982-1993. In the altar there is a miraculous image of the Virgin Mary from 1794. The register of monuments includes the bell tower with a stone wall surrounding the church.
The church now has the rank of a shrine. The indulgence occurs on the first or second Saturday in September.
The church has the following plaques: Teofil Urbanowski - heir to Sobota, Emilia of Laszkowscy Urbanowska - heir to Sobota, Stanislaw and Jan Nowak - killed in World War I in 1915 and 1918, Jozef Frydrychowicz - insurgent of Greater Poland, victim of the Nazis, in memory of Jan III Sobieski and the victory in Vienna.
In addition, next to the church there is a romantic tombstone of Ignacy Laszkowski in the form of a broken column with a crying girl leaning against it.
