The reserve comprises a very interesting, in terms of flora and landscape, folded part of the forested top of the Dalkowskie Hills cut through by ravines. The relative difference between the tops of the hills and the bottom of the ravines is up to 50 m. There is a forest with fertile and acidic lowland beechwood and sporadic oak and spruce trees. The old-growth forest is locally estimated to be 250-400 years old - beech and up to 300 years old - oak. The rest of the forest is about 40-60 years old. In the reserve 192 species of vascular plants and fauna typical for old beech forests were found. Patches of thermophilous vegetation with St. John's Wort were also identified. Partial protection covers the species occurring in the forest undergrowth: forest hawkweed, arborescent hawkweed, and ribbed hookwort. The following forest complexes were found in the reserve: Carici elongatae-Alnetum, Circaeo-Alnetum, Ficario-Ulmetum, Galio-Carpinetum, Luzulo pilosae-Fagetum, Melico-Fagetum, Pino-Quercetum.
