Holy Spirit Street - one of the streets in Gdańsk's Main Town.

The oldest mention of the street dates back to 1336. The name is probably connected with the Holy Spirit Hospital, which was moved to the vicinity of the Castle Gate in 1357.

The street starts at the Wood Market and runs towards the Motlawa River. The beginning of the street was the "Bell Gate" demolished in 1804 and the end of the street was the Gate of the Holy Spirit overlooking D³ugie Pobrze¿e. The current local spatial development plan assumes the reconstruction of buildings in the lower course of the street. The philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer was born on Holy Spirit Street in a house number 47. The traditional St. Dominic's Fair is held on the street every year.

In 2015, the reconstruction of 6 townhouses located on the south side of the street was started. In the case of two, on the basis of the preserved documentation, a full reconstruction of the facade took place, while the remaining four have a contemporary architectural form with glazing of the first floor and its floor. The reference to the buildings located on the opposite side of the street ensured that the historical height of the buildings was preserved. According to the local plan, the buildings were to have their forecrofts rebuilt, at least in a symbolic form. Fragments of Gothic walls were preserved in the basements. The reconstruction was completed in late 2016.

In May 2017, street reconstruction began with completion in December 2017.

On September 15, 2018, a reconstruction of the stone marking the center of historic Gdansk was unveiled near the Royal Chapel.
