City Hall, Rzeszów
Facts and practical information
Rzeszow City Hall - the municipal magistrate's building in Rzeszow, located on the town square.
It was built, like the castle, by Mikołaj Spytek Ligęza, most probably before the end of the 16th century. It took its present form at the end of the 19th century, when in 1867 and 1884, and then in 1897-98 it underwent a thorough reconstruction combining elements of Neo-Gothic and Neo-Renaissance styles. As a result of moving the front wall and basing it on the arcades of the building, the main hall was created, where the Town Council meets. To this day, the Town Hall remains the building that houses the offices of the Town Council and the Mayor.
At every full hour the city bugle sounds from it.
