Wiączyń War Cemetery - a cemetery located in the northeastern outskirts of the city of Lodz. It is a place where soldiers of German and Russian armies from World War I were buried. Most of them were killed during the so-called Lodz Operation, which took place between the German and Russian armies from November to December 1914. Most of them are victims of fights in the vicinity of Wi¼czyn, as well as Olechów, Janów, Nowosolna, D±browa, Bedonia and Feliksin. Soldiers who died in the area during other periods of the Great War are also buried here. According to estimates, about 9 thousand soldiers are buried in the cemetery. Among them are Poles conscripted into the Russian or German army.
