City Hall, Jarocin
Facts and practical information
Jarocin Town Hall - an arcaded baroque building built between 1799 and 1804, in the middle of the town square.
The previous seat of city government burned down during the great fire of 1773. The new town hall was originally built as a two-story structure with a flat roof. Subsequent reconstructions changed its appearance, e.g. in 1854 and 1907. It was then lowered to a one-story building and gained a broken roof. In 1964, the building was entered in the register of monuments. The Town Hall was rebuilt in the years 1983-1989, and in 2006 it was renovated.
The building is built on a square plan. The elevation is decorated with pilasters and a wide cornice. All four walls are crowned with Neo-Baroque exhibitions.
It is the seat of the town authorities and the Regional Museum of Jarocin.
