Park Miniatur Świątyń
Facts and practical information
Miniature Park of Temples in Myczkowce - St. John Paul II Ecumenical Culture Center - miniature park, located in the village of Myczkowce. The facility is located within the Recreation and Rehabilitation Center of the Caritas Diocese of Rzeszów.
The park with the Center for Ecumenical Culture was opened in October 2007. On ten hills there are 140 miniature wooden churches and orthodox churches of the Catholic, Greek Catholic and Orthodox rites, made on a scale of 1:25. The wooden miniatures were made by Janusz Kulig, a craftsman from Chmielnik, while Norbert Piekarski from Blizne was responsible for the architecture of the area. The models were temples located in Poland, Ukraine and Slovakia. The miniatures were arranged according to their location in the area inhabited by ethnographic groups: Dolinians, Pogórzans, Boykos and Lemkos. They present architectural features characteristic for Latin and Byzantine church temples.
The park is a year-round facility, open daily. There is an admission fee. In addition to the Park, there is a horse farm, a Mini-Zoo and a Bible Garden.
