Church of St. Michael the Archangel in Połajewo is a historic church in the village of Połajewo, in Czarnkowsko-Ttrzcianecki county, Greater Poland province.
Church of St. Michael Archangel in Połajewo was built in the years 1773-1780 in neo-baroque style on the site of the old, wooden church, thanks to the efforts of the then parish priest, Jan Antoni Sawicki. It is a three-nave temple with a barrel vault. The interior is decorated, among others, with a Renaissance triptych by Matthew Kossior from 1572, early Baroque sculptures of St. Catherine and Barbara from around 1620, the sculpture of St. Joseph, as well as paintings of: John Paul II, the Nativity of Jesus, the Sacred Heart of Jesus, St. John the Baptist and Pope Pius VI. In the church there is a 19th century organ, which in 1873 won a medal at the world exhibition in Vienna. The altar and pulpit are contemporary, dating from the 1950s. The church steeple dates from 1907 and houses the St. Michael bell, donated by Pastor John George. The bell, which was taken to Germany during World War II, was returned to the Połajew church in the 1950s.In front of the church is a granite monument to Archbishop Walenty Dymek, who came from Połajewo. At the church cemetery there are two historic chapels from the early twentieth century.During World War II the church was closed to the faithful. Masses could be held only on Sundays. The church belongs to Czarnkow deanery of Poznan archdiocese.
