Cypel Rewski
Facts and practical information
Cypel Rewski, dialectally Szpyrk or Szperk - a kilometre-long sandy moat cutting into the waters of Puck Bay near Rewa, formed by the sea current flowing along the shores of the Gulf of Gdańsk.
A further stretch of the nana forms a submarine dike extending to Hel Spit. The average depth along the entire length of the dike is one meter, with the exception of an approximately 700 m wide section called Głębinka, which is up to five meters deep in places. Small areas of shallows periodically rise above the water surface, forming islands.
Once a year the Herring March takes place, in which daredevils cross the shoal on foot from Kuźnica to Rewa. Wild boars also use it, hiking and swimming to the Hel Spit.
