Nature Education Center of the Tatra National Park, formerly Nature Museum of the Tatra National Park in Zakopane - a facility of the Tatra National Park that functioned under the name of Nature Museum of the Tatra National Park from 1984 to 2004.
The Museum was established in 1984, and its founders included Prof. Witold Paryski and Prof. Mieczysław Klimaszewski. The main theme of the exhibition presented at the museum was the Tatra nature and the history of nature conservation in the Tatra Mountains. In 2004 a decision was made to transform the museum into a center for nature education. The exhibition was modernized and numerous educational programs aimed at tourists and the local community were launched. In 2015-2017, thanks to the support of Norwegian Funds and European Union funds, the Centre was expanded and rebuilt. Currently, a modern multimedia nature exhibition is presented there.
The Centre also houses the Zofia Radwańska-Paryska and Witold H. Paryski Tatra Documentation Centre. This institution took over the collection of Zofia and Witold Paryski, consisting of tens of thousands of items, including books, magazines, maps, photographs and postcards.
