Facts and practical information
Kupiecka Synagogue in Trzebinia - a synagogue located in Trzebinia, at 15 Józefa Piłsudskiego Street.
The synagogue was built in the 19th century on the initiative of the merchants guild. During World War II the interior of the synagogue was devastated by the Nazis. Since the end of the war it has housed a carpenter's shop.
The brick synagogue building was erected on a rectangular plan with an eastern elevation in the street frontage. The exterior decoration has survived to the present day. The main prayer room is located in the southern part and is entered through the vestibule, above which there is a small prayer room. On the façade there are two symmetrically placed, arched windows, between which there is an oculus - underneath it there was originally an Aron ha-kodesh. On the right side there is a narrow and high wooden door, also ended with an arch. On the sides there are two pilasters; the façade is crowned with a coronation cornice. The whole is covered with a gable roof.
