Facts and practical information
Church of St. Stanislaus the Bishop in Nozdrzec - Renaissance-Baroque Catholic church from the 18th century in Nozdrzec.
The church was built in 1746 by parish priest Jan Baniecki. It was made of stone and brick in the form of a Latin cross. In 1806 the church was consecrated by bishop of Przemysl Antoni Golaszewski and received the name of St. Stanislaus the Bishop and Martyr.
The altar in Renaissance style comes from the 19th century. Noteworthy are the statues of the apostles Peter and Paul and the image of St. Stanislaus the Bishop against the background of Krakow.
The chapels were added later, only one of them was built before the consecration. In this chapel there is an altar of the crucifixion of Jesus, and at the entrance to it - a painting of the Heart of Jesus from the nineteenth century by the Lviv painter Kapustyński. In the right chapel there is a statue of the Immaculate Mother of God and the baptismal font from the eighteenth century.
In the years 1996-2005 the interior of the church was restored. The chancel and side chapels were redecorated and the polychrome was restored by Stanislaw Zima from Lubatowa. The Stations of the Cross were painted in 1999 by Grzegorz Hardulak from Dynow. In the years 2003-2005 Piotr Thier from Przemyśl made stained glass windows: Jesus the Merciful, Mother of God, St. Joseph, John Paul II.
