Park Leśny Klęskowo, Szczecin

Klęskowo Forest Park - a forest recreational area forming part of the Szczecin Forest Promotional Complex, with an area of 23.39 ha, located on Szczecin's Right Bank, an undulating part of the Beech Forest between the Bukowy estate in the south and the Słoneczne estate in the north, in the quarter of Mączna, Pszenna, Chłopska, Kolorowych Domów streets.

The park is dominated by a hundred-year-old beech forest with admixtures of pedunculate and sessile oaks, reaching 30 meters in height. In the north-western part, on the side of the hospital, there is a pine forest.

Common hornbeam, Norway maple, Norway maple, mountain elm, English elm, and ash are common throughout the park.

The undergrowth contains mountain, sessile, and field elm trees, common hazel, maple and sycamore, common reed, and elderberry.

In the undergrowth there are, among others: woodruff, small-flowered impatiens, common impatiens, common ivy.

To the southwest, in the valley of the Chojnówka River, grows the black alder, and the much rarer gray alder.

Quite numerous are trees of exotic origin: Japanese pear tree, five-leaved pecan tree, American beech tree, large-fruited oak tree, and American hemlock, Robinia pseudoacacia 'Unifoliola', Norway maple, Norway maple, Sycamore, English ash in the single-leaf variety, Ginkgo biloba, Abies concolor, Abies nordmanniana, Pseudotsuga menziesii, P. m. v. glauca, European larch, Japanese larch, Euro-Japanese larch, Scots pine, Lawsonian cypress, nutmeg cypress, sweet pea cypress, pinnatifid cypress, giant cedar, Virginia juniper.

On the eastern edge of the park, in the vicinity of the church, there are ruins of the Dohrn manor house, a family that came to Szczecin in 1790.

Benches were placed along the restored alleys, shelters were set up, and fire pits and children's play areas were designated.
