Jan Kiepura Monument in Sosnowiec - unveiled on May 15, 2002, on the eve of the 100th anniversary of the famous artist's birth at Stulecia Square.
The nearly three-meter bronze casting is placed on a granite pedestal with a height of 1.40 meters. The monument depicts Jan Kiepura in his most famous pose - the artist in a flowing coat and hat singing with his hand raised in the air.
The authors of the project are Warsaw artists Tadeusz Markiewicz and Gabriel Karwowski. Their project won the competition, the jury was chaired by Bogusław Kaczyński.
