Area according to deed of establishment: 43.52 ha, Year of establishment: 1989, Type of reserve: forest, Object of protection: purgatory oak-hornbeam communities and a fragment of light oak, Administrator: Forest Inspectorate of Lomza, Supervision: Regional Director of Environmental Protection in Białystok

In the reserve there is a monument to Stach Konwa, a legendary Kurpie hero.
