Facts and practical information
Wysokie Bagno Nature Reserve - a nature reserve located in the Białowieża municipality in Podlaskie province. It was created in 1979 on an area of 78.54 ha. The greater part of the reserve is occupied by boreal spruce fenwoods with abundance of bryophytes. On the northern edge and in the eastern part of the reserve there are small patches of alder wood and ash-alder forest. In addition, there is a small patch of mixed spruce-fir woodland and marshy sedge meadows. Protected plants include: sericata, male orchid, clubmoss, and wolf's-foot trefoil.
The area of the reserve is crossed by the educational path "The Landscapes of the Forest", whose route begins at the seat of the Białowieża Forestry Commission in Białowieża, and ends at the Forest Education Center "Jagiellońskie".
