Basilica of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary - a late Baroque temple in Stara Wieś.
The temple was built between 1730-1760, consecrated in 1760 by Przemysl bishop Waclaw Hieronim Sierakowski. The builders of the temple and the adjacent monastery were Pauline Fathers. Currently, it is cared for by Jesuit fathers, who had their novitiate in the Old Town monastery until 2016. In the main altar of the basilica there is a copy of the miraculous painting depicting the scene of the Dormition and Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary crowned on September 8, 1877 by Archbishop Lodovico Jacobini, Apostolic Nuncio in Vienna, later Cardinal. Since 1927 the church has had the dignity of a minor basilica.
