Cedynia Heathland Nature Reserve named after Wiesław Czyżewski - A steppe reserve with an area of 72.02 ha, in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in Gryfino County, in Cedynia Municipality, in the Cedynia Landscape Park, 3 km southwest of Cedynia, on the south side of provincial road 124. The area of the reserve is approximately a square with a side of approximately 0.9 km.
The reserve was established by order of the Minister of Forestry and Wood Industry dated 11 April 1985. It bears the name of engineer Wiesław Czyżewski, who was the forest inspector here in the years 1955-1985. At the entrance to the reserve there is a boulder dedicated to his memory.
The aim of protection is preservation of hills covered with heathland and stands of xerothermic vegetation, especially preservation of biodiversity and social organization of organisms characteristic for open areas - heathlands, xerothermic and sand grasslands, preservation of native populations of plant species, fungi, animals and other living organisms occurring naturally within the heathlands and xerothermic and sand grasslands, and protection of ecological relations between these populations and habitats occurring in the reserve.
Protected plants, lichens and fungi such as lilac spider mite, low sedge, common juniper, meadow pasqueflower, steppe serpentine, hairy spurge, curly-leaved fork, alpine hawkweed, Iceland lungwort, small transom, flattened grenadier, and winter warbler can be found here.
