Rezerwat Rutka

Rutka Nature Reserve - an inanimate nature reserve located in the villages of Rutka and Szeszupka. The reserve is part of the Suwalki Landscape Park. It was established in 2001 on the area of 49.06 ha.
It is located at an altitude of 235 m above sea level on a plain surface, composed of water-glacial gravels, clay patches and a large number of boulders. The area of the reserve is covered by pastures and wastelands. The aim of introducing reserve protection in this area is preservation in its natural state of a unique post-glacial cobblestone along with Lake Linówek and an adjacent transitional peat bog.
The reserve does not have a current protection plan, however, it has obligatory protection tasks, on the basis of which its area is under active protection.
Two educational paths lead through the reserve: "Lichens" and "Rocks and minerals of the Suwałki Landscape Park".
